Senior Demand Analyst

Position Overview:
The Senior Demand Analyst will play a critical role in driving the company's demand planning processes. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to support and optimize forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales insights.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather and interpret demand signals.
- Implement and improve forecasting models to enhance accuracy and reliability.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability to meet customer demands.
- Identify and address discrepancies between forecasted and actual demand.
- Initiate inventory optimization strategies to balance supply and demand.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze demand data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management to support decision-making.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools to enhance forecasting precision and supply chain efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production planning, procurement, and logistics teams to align demand and supply plans.
- Facilitate S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to synchronize demand and supply activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in demand planning processes and systems.
System and Process Optimization:
- Maintain and enhance demand planning tools and systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in demand planning systems.
- Provide training and support to team members on demand planning processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Several years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
