The Opportunity:
Collaborating closely with teams in the Hospitality and Operations Divisions, the individual in this role will assume responsibility for essential procurement tasks. They will play a crucial role in overseeing supply planning and execution for the retail supply chain within the Hospitality Division. This entails procuring and managing suppliers, implementing purchasing policies and procedures, and supervising the distribution plan for the hospitality retail supply chain. Additionally, this position involves working closely with the Hospitality operations team to provide direct support in negotiating product sourcing, including the deployment of these products at both existing and new hospitality retail locations.
Requirements:
- Managing the supplier approval process, reviewing and analysing risk factors.
- Developing a system to evaluate vendor quotations, utilizing negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling procurement activities for both the core business and the retail hospitality division
- Designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring procurement and logistics reporting systems to meet company requirements.
- Recruiting and maintaining high-quality suppliers who offer competitive prices while adhering to the highest ethical standards.
- Collaborating with third-party agencies to support and drive distribution plans for the retail hospitality channel.
- Identifying and resolving supply interruptions by working with suppliers and third-party distributors to ensure continuity of supply.
- Participating in company management meetings to drive established objectives and foster cross-functional partnerships.
- Ensuring cost effectiveness in line with company-established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Establishing and preparing instructions regarding purchasing systems and distribution procedures.
- Reviewing purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with company policy.
- Preparing and reviewing contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and item specifications.
- Negotiating or supervising the negotiation of complex requests for products and services from suppliers and subcontractors to reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of directly related experience is required, specifically in purchasing and supply chain management
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Extensive experience and knowledge in systems, preferably with SAP or other ERP systems, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Recent experience within the food service, retail, and/or consumer goods industry, with a significant focus on procurement and distribution.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have recent experience in procurement and supply chain management
