Overview:
We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance within our EV charging unit manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment, managing risk, and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- EHS Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant guidelines.
- Safety Programs: Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols, training, and emergency response plans.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
- Training & Awareness: Educate employees on safe work practices, environmental sustainability, and compliance procedures.
- Incident Reporting: Oversee the investigation of workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety violations; implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Drive initiatives to reduce environmental impact, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in EHS management, ideally in a manufacturing environment (experience in EV charging or electronics manufacturing is a plus).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, risk management, and safety program development. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Certifications: OSHA certification, ISO 14001, or related EHS certifications are preferred.
