Electrical Engineer - Richmond, IN

Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on electrical engineering support for daily operations, troubleshooting, and resolving reliability issues in electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Collaborate in a team environment on routine and non-routine repair of instrumentation, analyzers, variable speed drives, controls, and other electrical equipment.
- Conduct technical reviews of instrumentation system designs and modifications.
- Drive improvements and reliability initiatives to optimize yields, capacity, costs, energy usage, and safety.
- Support the reliability of the site's power distribution infrastructure.
- Contribute to defining, specifying, and developing site capital project requirements.
- Keep equipment files and engineering documentation updated to ensure accuracy.
- Work independently or collaboratively to assess, design, train, and implement preventive (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures.
- Provide electrical engineering assistance during plant and equipment outages.
- Aid in maintenance training and development activities to enhance the site's technical capabilities.
- Adhere to and promote safety, health, and welfare procedures for all employees and contractors.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Preferably 5+ years of experience as a Plant Electrical/Controls Engineer.
- Experience in plant site maintenance and engineering, especially in petrochemical facilities, is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
- Proficient in Allen Bradley PLCs, drives, MCCs, and AC motors.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, level transmitters, sensors, and communication devices.
- Proficiency with switchgear equipment up to 13.8kV.
- Familiarity with PM/PDM best practices.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team to enhance supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
- Results-oriented with the ability to set and act on priorities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and math skills.
- Competent in Windows Software Suite and general computer use.
