A leading electronics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Electronics Analyst. This employee-owned leader in electrical wire and cable insulation serves diverse industries, including utilities, oil & gas, military, and renewables. Headquartered in New Jersey, they operate multiple facilities producing specialized cables for both industrial power and renewable energy applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to identify potential component and board failures.
- Addressing issues with electrical controls, relays, starters, and contactors to maintain equipment functionality.
- Modifying and refining machinery control programs to enhance quality and reduce waste.
- Specifying and sourcing components for upgrades and repairs, managing vendor relationships, and tracking delivery timelines.
- Diagnosing critical equipment issues as they occur.
- Planning, scheduling, and leading installation teams for new equipment setups.
- Maintaining continuous communication with relevant departments regarding project schedules, repairs, and downtime needs.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with union workforce exposure preferred.
- Basic writing skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Availability for off-shift work, weekends, and occasional out-of-state travel.
