Title: Seeking a Global Logistics Manager in Zurich for the Pharmaceutical Industry
Our client, a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking to hire an experienced and dynamic Global Logistics Manager. As part of their ongoing expansion plans, our client requires someone with extensive experience who can manage end-to-end logistics operations.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will lead and oversee global logistics operations ensuring compliance with regulations while managing all aspects from planning through execution within budgetary constraints. The successful applicant must have excellent leadership qualities that enable them to work collaboratively across departments including procurement, production teams as well as external stakeholders such as freight forwarders or customs agents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies that ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements related to shipping hazardous materials globally.
- Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors/customs authorities/freight carriers etc
- Evaluate transportation options/alternatives based on cost/benefit analysis
- Provide guidance/training/governance around distribution policies/procedures
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration /Logistics
- Minimum 8 years' experience working at management level handling End-to End supply chain/logistics functions preferably within Chemical/pharmaceutical sector
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical skills combined with attention detail/timelines/schedules/costings/risk assessments
- Excellent communication/presentation/negotiation/influencing skills both internally and externally
