Job Description:
- Provide professional coaching and mentoring.
- Align and standardize environmental practices with corporate standards.
- Train facility environmental team leaders and ensure staff receive appropriate environmental training.
- Collaborate with plant managers to develop environmental team leaders and drive internal performance improvement.
- Represent as an environmental subject matter expert internally and externally.
- Oversee environmental activities at high-complexity production facilities and ensure consistent implementation of corporate policies and standards.
- Monitor and communicate impending regulatory changes, targeting objectives at each site.
- Develop environmental risk registers at each site and analyze environmental data to identify trends and areas for risk reduction.
- Oversee environmental consultants and project managers, supporting sustainable development initiatives and goals.
- Participate in environmental audit processes at other facilities.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sciences, with preference for Engineering, Biology, or Chemistry. Master's in Engineering or Science preferred.
- Professional Engineering license preferred.
- 6-12 years of progressive experience in the environmental/engineering field.
- Expert knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on the food industry.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to present to large and small groups, including executive leadership.
- Experience in developing engineering scopes for new equipment to meet compliance needs.
- Expert knowledge of operational practices for environmental control systems.
- Ability to work in office environments, manufacturing operations, and environmental control systems.
- Ability to represent on environmental matters to external stakeholders.
