Job Title: Facilities/Maintenance Engineer

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading chemical manufacturing company that is headquartered in South Carolina. The Facilities/Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the infrastructure and equipment of the facility and overseeing a team of technicians and operators.
As the Facilities Engineer you will:
- Determine facility and equipment specifications.
- Design and oversee the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems and controls.
- Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operation efficiencies.
- Develop processing plans and optimize resource allocation.
- Plan and coordinate infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Oversee and supervise team of maintenance technicians including reviewing team activities on the manufacturing floor.
- Minimize maintenance indirect labor cost including minimizing overtime.
- Ensure that preventative and predictive maintenance is being performed on all assets.
- Make changes to the preventive and predictive maintenance tasks based on breakdown and specific equipment recommended data.
- Continuously review process equipment components to ensure process equipment is available as components become obsolete.
- Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
- Project Management - Obtain Competitive Quotes, Write and Justify Capital Appropriate Requests
The Facilities Engineer should have:
- B.S. degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience as a facilities engineer or similar role in a heavy manufacturing plant.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Project management skills including capital project generation, justification, submission and implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills - supervise teams consisting of staff and contractors.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
