Job Title: Global Category Manager Capex

Our client, a leading global speciality chemicals company with over 2000 employees operating in 20+ countries, is seeking a Global Category Manager Capex to join their team in Netherlands. They specialize in delivering sustainable, high-performance solutions across various industries, focusing on innovation and environmental responsibility.
In this critical role, you will oversee and optimise global capital expenditure (Capex) procurement strategies, ensuring efficient, cost-effective investment management for the company's growth and sustainability projects. You will be responsible for driving best practices, managing supplier relationships, and supporting long-term capital investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement global Capex procurement strategies to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Manage and lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, finance) to ensure alignment on investment projects
- Lead and support multi-million euro projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery
- Identify market trends and opportunities for innovation in procurement processes and supply chain management
- Ensure compliance with global procurement policies, procedures, and regulations
Requirements:
- Years of procurement experience, with a focus on Capex and global category management
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Strong negotiation, project management, and leadership skills
- Proven track record in managing large-scale capital investment projects and supplier networks
- Experience working in an international and matrixed organization
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
