A fast growing start up retail organizations is currently seeking a Manager of Sourcing and Procurement to aid in the success of their growing team. This individual will have a focus most heavily on the Sourcing of all apparel and hard goods on a global scale.
This position is located in the Nashville Metropolitan Area and with be Onsite
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives and product portfolio
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions
- Manage the supplier relationships and performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
- Monitor and evaluate the quality and delivery of the sourced goods, and ensure compliance with the company's standards and policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design, production, logistics, and quality, to ensure the sourcing and procurement activities meet the product requirements and specifications
- Track and report on the sourcing and procurement metrics, such as cost savings, lead time, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Identify and implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives for the sourcing and procurement function
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, fashion, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably in the apparel industry
- Proven track record of successful sourcing and procurement projects, and achieving cost savings and quality improvements
- Strong knowledge of the global apparel market, suppliers, and trade regulations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
