Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 20 FTEs, ensuring efficient and effective ocean freight operations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability in the Kenya & Uganda region.
- Oversee ocean freight activities in Kenya & Uganda, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regional developments to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ocean freight and management within the logistics industry.
- Proficient in English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the ocean freight market in Kenya & Uganda, with a strong network of industry contacts.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive operational excellence and deliver results.
