Head of Procurement - Chemicals
DSJ Global, is looking for a Head of Procurement for our client, a leading chemical manufacturing company based in **Atlanta, GA**. This opportunity is being offered as remote and offers a competitive salary package starting at $130000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies for sourcing raw materials.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria. Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including manufacturing, finance, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with business needs. Lead cross-functional teams in procurement-related projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence and innovation.
- Manage supplier relationships while maintaining cost efficiency
- Provide leadership to the procurement team ensuring that all objectives are met timely
- Effectively negotiate contracts with vendors/suppliers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing with Chemicals or other raw materials.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver cost savings and drive operational efficiency.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
