A leading manufacturer of building materials is seeking a Maintenance Manager for its facility in Alabama. The Maintenance Manager will lead and coordinate the maintenance team in ensuring the reliability and functionality of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager:
- Reviews job orders to prioritize work.
- Schedules machine repairs, maintenance, and installations for uninterrupted production.
- Coordinates worker activities for fabricating or modifying tools and equipment.
- Directs maintenance of utility systems to ensure consistent supply of heat, power, gas, and air.
- Develops preventive maintenance programs with engineering and maintenance teams.
- Analyzes production and maintenance reports to adjust maintenance activities.
- Inspects machines for compliance with operational standards.
- Plans and implements methods to enhance operations and reduce costs.
- Requisitions necessary tools and supplies for operations.
- Trains and supervises workers on performance and company policies.
- Collaborates with management and engineering to resolve maintenance issues and improve conditions.
- Prepares and monitors the department budget.
Qualifications of the Maintenance Manager:
- Degree from a two-year college or technical school in mechanical engineering or similar field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience of maintenance or engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical skills training and professional development experiences, including travel.
