This role will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and performance of automation equipment, diagnosing issues, and supporting the production line to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting and Repair:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, conveyors, sensors, and other automated manufacturing equipment.Preventive Maintenance:
Perform regular preventive maintenance on automation systems to ensure reliability, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend equipment lifespan.Automation System Support:
Work closely with the engineering team to identify system issues and assist with upgrading and modifying automation processes for improved performance.Root Cause Analysis:
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring automation failures, implementing corrective actions to prevent future breakdowns.Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment issues, provide technical support, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance automation systems, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering is preferred.Experience:
3+ years of experience in maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
