Position: Manager, Process Engineering

About the Role: As the Manager of Process Engineering, you will lead a team of 2-4 skilled process engineers. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing our investment casting, foundry, and metals processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support process engineers, ensuring seamless operations in casting, foundry, and metal production.
- Utilize expertise in molding, metals, investment casting, injection molding (metal), and automation to drive excellence in our processes.
- Strong emphasis on being hands-on, collaborating with operators, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance plant operations.
- Manage and analyze scrap reports, understanding the root causes and driving necessary changes for process improvement.
- Proficiency in utilizing statistical analysis, data-driven decision-making, process control charts, and implementing corrective actions for process alignment.
Requirements:
- In-depth understanding of casting (especially investment casting), foundry processes, and working with metals.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, ISO 9001 standards, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to be hands-on as a manager, bridging the gap between desk work and direct involvement in plant operations.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify and address casting-related problems and front-end processes.
- Strong analytical skills to reduce data and make informed decisions, driving process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive plastics, with a strong foundation in working with metals.
- Strong familiarity with Mini Tab software and other relevant engineering tools.
