We are seeking a highly motivated individual to take on the role of Procurement Manager with an A&D Supplier. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Procurement process, providing leadership and organizational direction for the comprehensive procurement function across strategic business unit/operations center. The scope of leadership includes supervising the procurement team, procurement strategic/tactical planning and execution, and activities associated with all related business processes, from point of backlog order enter through to customer receipt of product to ensure quality, delivery and cost objectives are achieved.
Required:
- Minimum Education: 4-year degree in Supply Chain or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years in Procurement Management level role directing a team of at least 5 or more supply chain team members to include procurement.
- 10+ years of overall progressive experience in procurement and planning.
- Specific procurement experience in build to print, Tier II organization (electronics, defense and/or aerospace)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to speak to metrics, tools (ERP) and supplier management used in prior roles. Must be able to give clear examples to support this.
- Skilled in ERP/MRP systems (ex. BAAN LN) and Excel
- Ability to inspire the procurement team.
- Ability to develop the procurement team. This individual will have the desire to continuously improve oneself and pour his/her knowledge into the team to help them grow.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and transparency to procurement team
- Ability to provide clear, precise duties to team members and hold the individuals accountable to deliver results.
- Ability to manage supplier delivery, quality, and costs for small quantities of speciality parts on a contract basis.
- Ability to collaborate across functions to maximize SC effectiveness (ex. Operations, Program Management, Bid & Proposals, Planning, Engineering, and Quality)
