Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Engineer to research and develop new products for our remanufacturing processes. This role involves frequent collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and support teams to ensure successful new product launches and expand our program offerings. The Product Engineer will represent the company in customer interactions, fostering lasting relationships through trust, results, and exceptional communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the introduction of new products to manufacturing by developing BOMs, engineering specifications, identifying components, and selecting suppliers.
- Investigate product failure modes to understand component attrition and improve product durability.
- Collaborate with supplier quality teams to certify new suppliers' processes (PPAP).
- Participate in supplier development activities alongside Materials and Supplier Quality departments.
- Develop and implement processes for internal training and system adaptation to customer needs, including BOM updates and change orders.
- Present progress updates to stakeholders through clear and concise presentations.
- Ensure all activities are carried out with a strong focus on safety and process improvement.

Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience bringing new products to market through customer collaboration.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly in powertrain systems.
- Experience with powertrain and drivetrain systems; engine experience is preferred.
- Strong commitment to building and nurturing customer relationships.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in new product integration.
- In-depth knowledge of automatic transmissions and internal combustion engines.
- High analytical skills to solve complex and unusual problems.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and estimate project timelines and costs.
