Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager specializing in product development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple concurrent projects focused on the development of new medical devices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex product development programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to facilitate project execution and monitor progress.
- Coordinate and facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- Drive the product development process, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA regulations, ISO standards).
- Manage project scope, changes, and dependencies, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or challenges proactively.
- Conduct regular project reviews and status meetings, providing updates to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and risks.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the transition of projects from development to manufacturing, collaborating with Operations to ensure a seamless transfer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in program management within the medical device industry, with a track record of successfully launching products from concept to commercialization.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, including design control, risk management, and verification/validation activities.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Agile or other project management methodologies is a plus.
- PMP certification or similar project management certification is desirable.
