POSITION SUMMARY
A Fortune 500 global ingredient manufacturer is looking to bring on a Project/Process Engineer at their manufacturing site in the Sioux City region. This position plays a key role in driving improvements by developing a thorough understanding of sanitary equipment, systems, and the factors influencing their performance. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that strategically lower manufacturing costs, enhance productivity, and reduce waste.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and mitigating incidents
- Analyze processes and recommend changes or capital pojects to improve efficiency, quality, and facility longevity
- Design and implement capital projects on time and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and overall operational efficiency
- Provide technical support for safety, health, environment, and quality improvements, collaborating with relevant teams
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or related field
- 2+ years of experience in process engineering and project management
- Prior experience working in a heavily regulated manufacturing environment
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and functions
