Quality Assurance Supervisor needed for a Fortune-500 Food Manufacturer

A global branded food company with over $10B in annual revenue is seeking a Quality Assurance supervisor in their food manufacturing site. Reporting Directly to the Plant Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor will be directly involved in all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) within the manufacturing facility. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for upholding operational KPIs, SOPs and best-practices that align with company and industry quality standards.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on management, food manufacturing, or quality a plus
- Proven knowledge of food safety and quality assurance initiatives
- 2+ years' experience in food, food safety qualifications in a manufacturing facility
- Proven ability to provide supervision and guidance to ensure QA standards for quality, food safety are met
- Familiarity with SSOP, HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations
- Ability to provide daily supervision and training to QA Technicians
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with local and international counterparts
Responsibilities of the QA Supervisor
- Ensure all manufacturing processes in the plant are in line with an autonomous Quality organization
- Ensure proper upheaval of GMP, ISO, Quality and Food Safety standards
- Conduct Quality audits to ensure plant is in accordance with FDA/USDA regulations
- Develop, implement and uphold strategic initiatives to ensure long-term goals are met for the manufacturing plant
- Managing and reporting safety and quality standards in the plant
- Maintain a comprehensive quality system and strategy that is in compliance with regulatory standards
- Prepare SOPs for department to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and standards
