Responsibilities:
- Manage the coordination and assessment of supplier on-boarding processes, tenders, and competency evaluations, ensuring alignment with sustainability objectives.
- Drive engagement with suppliers, both new and existing, to foster compliance and commitment to sustainable practices.
- Serve as a key communicator of company strategies, policies, and environmental management system requirements, ensuring clarity and adherence.
- Actively advocate for the integration of Sustainable Procurement principles and Circular Economy concepts across Supply Chain Management and broader organisational initiatives.
- Conduct thorough site visits to supplier facilities and AWE locations, verifying and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Expertise in Sustainable Supply Chain: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in sustainable procurement practices, including familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
Supplier Management Skills: Proven ability to coordinate supplier on-boarding processes, tender evaluations, and competency assessments. Experience in influencing suppliers to adopt sustainable practices and meet compliance standards.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate company strategies, policies, and environmental requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Experience in building relationships with suppliers and driving engagement towards sustainability goals.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand and align procurement activities with broader organisational sustainability objectives. Capable of driving the integration of Sustainable principles and Circular Economy concepts into supply chain management strategies.
