The position involves a blend of creativity and technical expertise, aimed at designing, testing, and implementing automation and robotics solutions that are not only effective and safe but also cost-efficient. Emphasis is placed on customizing automation solutions to meet specific application needs and championing automation projects within the site.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the exploration and implementation of next-generation collaborative robot applications in consumer goods distribution, assessing process feasibility for robotic integration.
- Drive research projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, examining new distribution concepts, and managing the procurement of automation equipment.
- Plan, specify, and develop cost proposals for robot installations, ensuring they align with work environment requirements and efficiency goals.
- Act as a key liaison between design, manufacturing, and distribution teams, piloting and refining distribution processes for production.
- Champion the equipment introduction process, adhering to organizational procedures, and managing equipment specifications, vendor selection, and process implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial), with a specialization in robotics/automation, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability in teamwork and communication, with a strong track record of execution in robotics and automation fields.
- Proficiency in robotics, human-machine interfaces, and associated peripherals like vision systems and end-of-arm tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Plant/Facility design software (AutoCAD) and 3D solid modeling, along with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to support other distribution centers in automation deployment and operation.
