Our client, a leading international freight forwarder, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong track record in both client acquisition and account management. This senior role requires a professional with at least 5 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry and a proven ability to drive business growth. Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors, focusing on road, air, and ocean freight solutions.
Account Management: Retain and grow existing client accounts by delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's growth objectives, targeting both domestic and international markets.
Portfolio Management: Leverage your network and industry contacts to expand the company's client base.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on sales performance, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales within the freight forwarding industry, with expertise in road, air, and ocean freight.
Client Acquisition: Demonstrated success in hunting and acquiring new clients.
Account Management: Proven ability to retain and grow client accounts.
Network: Established portfolio of industry contacts is a strong advantage.
Languages: Fluency in French and English is essential; additional languages are a bonus.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
