A leading Medical Device company in Greater Boston is seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer to join the team, specializing in embedded systems, RF, and PCB design. The position is a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days required on site a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and validation of embedded hardware, RF circuits, and analog PCBs, including schematics and layout.
- Develop and maintain firmware to support embedded systems, working closely with software teams to optimize hardware/software integration.
- Design and implement RF circuits, including antenna tuning and signal integrity analysis for optimal performance.
- Create detailed PCB layouts, including multilayer, high-frequency, and mixed-signal designs, and ensure manufacturability.
- Conduct simulation and analysis to verify circuit performance, optimize power efficiency, and mitigate noise in RF and analog designs.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and debugging on prototypes and final products to ensure robust and reliable operation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on embedded systems, RF, and analog PCB design.
- Strong background in designing embedded systems, including microcontrollers, firmware development, and low-power design considerations.
- Expertise in RF circuit design, including familiarity with RF testing equipment and knowledge of RF standards.
- Advanced experience in PCB design, including proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD) and experience with high-frequency, multilayer PCB layouts.
- Demonstrated ability to perform schematic capture, layout, simulation, and analysis of analog and RF circuits.
