Director of Procurement
We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic individual to fill the role of Director of Procurement at our prominent cheese and dairy company located in Reno, NV. As the Director of Procurement, you will take charge of leading the procurement department, ensuring the effective management of the team, and spearheading the development and execution of procurement strategies to achieve the company's objectives.
Responsibilities
- Devise and implement procurement strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Manage the procurement team, providing leadership, guidance, and support as needed.
- Oversee the RFP process, analysis, negotiation strategy, contract drafting, awarding of business, and agreement execution plans.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with suppliers to secure optimal value for the company's purchases.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure that all procurement activities are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics to measure and track performance.

Additional Information
- Prior experience in Commodity Management is a prerequisite.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in the Dairy/Cheese sector.
- A preferred track record of 5-10 years within a company.
