The Senior Production Manager is accountable for overseeing the safe and efficient manufacturing of resins, supporting multiple strategic departments. This role involves managing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols, overseeing production activities, quality control, driving continuous improvement efforts, coordinating maintenance and engineering, as well as shipping and recieving operations. Additionally, the Senior Production Manager will play an integral part in executing major initiatives and contribute to the leadership team at the facility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, ensure high-quality output, and drive cost reductions.
- Maintain effective communication with all supporting teams to ensure operational goals are aligned.
- Oversee EHS procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a strong safety-first culture.
- Promote team development by fostering engagement and enhancing individual and team capabilities.
- Lead initiatives focused on continuous operational improvements through dedicated teams.
- Collaborate with supply chain functions to manage materials, logistics, and procurement for resin production.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline (preferred).
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial management, ideally within resin or chemical manufacturing.
- Well-versed in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Green or Black Belt preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management and leadership.
