Job Summary:
The Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. This senior leadership role requires strategic insight, strong financial acumen, and the ability to drive business decisions through data-driven analysis. The Sr. Director of FP&A will partner with cross-functional teams, providing critical financial insights to support the company's growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the FP&A team in developing, implementing, and managing the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team, influencing key business decisions and driving profitability.
- Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and identify areas for improvement in margin, cost control, and overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on performance against forecasts.
- Lead scenario analysis and financial modeling to assess potential business opportunities, risks, and investment initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and systems, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Serve as a key business partner to operations, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams, providing financial insights and decision support.
- Manage the preparation of board-level presentations and reports, ensuring clear and concise communication of financial performance and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape, providing insights into how external factors may impact the company's financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A role within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting skills, with a proven track record of driving financial performance in a dynamic environment.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC) and Excel.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in M&A financial analysis, integration, and due diligence.
