DSJ Global are representing an automotive supplier, for both OEM and Aftermarket, who are continuing their growth journey in Europe, after multiple strategic acquisitions. With huge growth plans for the next 5 years, leveraging their strong product position in the market, they're currently searching for a Global Supply Chain Director to establish a central supply chain function across all the regional business units, and develop a consolidate digital landscape (ERP, WMS, TMS) across the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and market dynamics.
- Lead and manage a high-performing supply chain team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Drive process improvements, streamline operations, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Sales, to optimize supply chain processes and ensure alignment of activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure the availability of quality materials, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any bottlenecks or issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and capitalize on opportunities for operational optimization.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and quality standards in the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Balance of experience both in overseeing manufacturing business, as well as downstream/distribution-focussed business. Automotive, or similar industry experience would be beneficial.
- Track-record of leading Supply Chain organisations through new system implementations.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles, best practices, and industry trends.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive process improvements.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in supply chain software systems, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Need to be able to travel globally.
