Summary:
We are currently growing out our operations in Cologne for our start up business. We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations in Cologne. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers, maintaining inventory levels, and managing vendor relationships. This role will play a critical part in helping us meet our growth targets, improve cost efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Supply Chain Operations: Manage the entire supply chain process, from procurement, production, and warehousing to distribution.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely deliveries.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and manage inventory to ensure optimal stock without over- or under-ordering.
- Logistics Coordination: Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods by coordinating with logistics partners.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve supply chain processes to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
-Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions, track performance, and create reports for senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as production, sales, and finance to align supply chain activities with business goals.
- Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and the company's sustainability practices.
Requirements:
- Experience in supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG or food & beverage sectors.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
- Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and German is required.
