Company Summary: A global food production firm which are through an exciting transformation are currently seeking a motivated Supply Planner to be responsible for orchestrating the flow of materials and products through our production and distribution channels in Germany. You will play an integral role in developing and executing supply plans that optimise inventory levels, minimise costs, and ensure on-time delivery to meet customer demand. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, logistics, and sales, you will leverage your analytical prowess and strategic mindset to drive efficiency and maximise operational performance.
The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply plans to meet production requirements while optimising inventory levels and minimising lead times.
- Analyse demand forecasts, sales trends, and market dynamics to anticipate fluctuations in demand and adjust supply plans accordingly.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and track stock movements to identify potential shortages or excesses and take proactive measures to address them.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to schedule production runs and coordinate transportation logistics to meet delivery schedules.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
- Generate regular reports and performance metrics to track key supply chain KPI's and provide insights for decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in supply chain management to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Supply Chain Planner should have the following qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain related experience. (Demand planning, Supply planning, Inventory, Logistics, Production)
- BA degree in the Supply Chain field, logistics, Business, or production management
- Experience working with Excel or SAP
- Fluent German and English is essential
