We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Transport & E-fulfilment Manager to oversee and optimize our client's transport operations and e-fulfilment processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient delivery of our client's products to their customers, as well as maintaining high standards of service and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, minimize costs, and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Oversee the scheduling and routing of deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of goods to customers.
- Continuously evaluate transportation operations and identify opportunities for improvement, such as route optimization, load consolidation, and fuel efficiency.
E-fulfilment Operations:
- Manage the end-to-end e-fulfilment process, including order processing, picking, packing, and shipping of online orders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, warehouse, and customer service, to streamline e-commerce operations and enhance the customer experience.
- Implement best practices and technology solutions to improve order accuracy, inventory visibility, and order fulfilment speed.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to e-fulfilment operations, such as order cycle time, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a team of transport coordinators, warehouse staff, and e-fulfilment specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the transport and e-fulfilment teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards in all aspects of transport and e-fulfilment operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or e-commerce fulfilment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, routing software, and e-commerce platforms.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French proficiency is a plus.
