Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of professionals and associates to achieve key performance indicators in plant utilities.
- Drive the completion of root cause analysis and problem elimination within the utilities team.
- Oversee the daily operations of steam generation, power, air, and water systems, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with other unit managers to provide insights and support for improving utility performance.
- Monitor specific energy and water consumption metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the Utilities Unit budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Contribute to the plant's capital strategy, focusing on asset replacement and process improvement within the utilities footprint.
- Collaborate with plant and corporate functions to deliver utilities initiatives and support sustainability goals.
- Interact daily with other operating units to communicate utilities performance, coordinate troubleshooting, and manage needs-based interruptions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Relevant work experience and alternate education will be considered.
- Significant experience in leading cross-functional teams with a focus on asset and utility reliability.
- Experience with boilers, feed water treatment, turbine generators, electrical distribution, air and water systems, ion exchange, and reverse osmosis systems preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a matrixed team, lead change, and implement management systems.
- Proven track record of driving results through team performance and meeting organizational demands within budgetary constraints.
