Director of Procurement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.

  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost savings and quality standards.

  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of components and materials.

  • Mitigate risks in the supply chain by developing contingency plans and alternate sourcing strategies.

  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, setting performance metrics and fostering professional growth.

  • Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and corporate policies.

  • Leverage data analytics and market trends to drive procurement decisions and cost optimizations.

  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to manage budgets and forecast procurement expenditures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within the automotive industry.

  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.

  • Knowledge of automotive industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.

  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.

  • Willingness to travel as required for supplier audits, negotiations, and industry events.
