About Us: My client is a leading food manufacturer dedicated to producing high-quality products for our customers. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Procurement to join their team and drive their procurement strategies.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and supplies for food manufacturing.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure the availability of high-quality raw materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including production, quality assurance, and finance, to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards in all procurement activities.
  • Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to ensure continuity of supply.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices.
