Estimating Manger
A leading ship repair and fabrication company is looking to hire an Estimating Manager to join their growing team. The Estimating Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordination of activities for the department estimators.
Responsibilities:
- Manages day-to-day activities of the Estimating/Proposal Department
- Manages and develops employees in the Estimating/Proposal Group, including training, rewarding, evaluations, and hiring/terminations
- Participates in final estimate/proposal reviews.
- Manages and prepares detailed estimates in accordance with the scope of work; analyze quantity take-off, determine manpower, equipment requirements, material items and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of estimating experience for ship repair contracts
- Experience leading or managing teams
- Must have strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and project management skills.
