A Leader in the manufacturing sector is seeking a driven, hands-on leader to drive continuous improvement and run successful manufacturing operations.
Summary:
The Operations Team Supervisor will be responsible for leading all manufacturing operations in a manner which aligns with organizational goals, standards and policies.
The Operations Team Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:
- Monitor and uphold compression and other manufacturing systems
- Maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Drive Continuous Improvement and safety culture across entire facility
- Utilize TPM principles for optimizing spare parts availability and creating a predictive & preventative maintenance culture
- Collaborate with Business Management personnel and provide updates as necessary
- Lead all personnel with a continuous improvement mentality
- Drive continued growth across the division by developing, implementing and upholding cost reduction/control programs while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Hire, discipline and develop employees to become senior leaders within the business
- Compile all information from the shift in a status report for change of shift
- Ensure all processes are in compliance with site/organization policies and procedures Drive continuous improvement process/projects and spearhead LEAN Initiatives
- Promote a positive team environment with an emphasis on collaboration
- Foster a continuous improvement culture with a focus on safety and quality standards
The Operations Team Supervisor should have the following skill set:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field strongly preferred; years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- 2+ years' leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of compressors, dryers, instrumentation and control systems
- Functional knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- TPM experience
- Root cause analysis
- Superior communication abilities
- Superior leadership abilities
- Ability to serve as a cultural and organizational change agent
- LEAN and/or 5s Manufacturing Experience a plus
