Rotating Equipment Engineer

Position Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, installation, and maintenance of rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, fans, and gearboxes. This role supports both ongoing operations and capital projects, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specify, select, and design rotating equipment in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).

  • Develop equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and procurement documentation.

  • Interface with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements.

  • Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing of rotating machinery.

  • Monitor equipment condition and performance using tools such as vibration analysis and thermography.

  • Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures and develop solutions to improve reliability.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, including predictive and preventive maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and equipment records.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, electrical, instrumentation, and project engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

  • 3+ years of petrochemical plant maintenance engineering; Project experience on capital projects desired

  • Knowledge of rotating machinery standards (API 610, API 617, API 618, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with condition monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques.

  • Familiarity with engineering design software and analysis tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Experience in plant operations, maintenance, or capital projects is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of maintenance engineering and experience with plant rotating and fixed equipment
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in the oil refining or petrochemical field
