Title: Category Manager, Contract Manufacturing
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week in office at plant site)
Location: Flexible, not 100% remote

Overview: A leading client in the metals manufacturing space is looking to bring on a candidate to lead their category and sourcing strategy for outsourced manufacturing suppliers across their North America region. Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities across external vendors for surface treatment and fabrication services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (supply chain, operations, finance, sales, etc.).
- Develop and implement category strategies for subcontracting.
- Lead negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts.
- Support business units in achieving procurement goals.
- Conduct market analysis and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Manage risk and ensure business continuity in the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related fields.
- Experience with subcontracting (outsourced manufacturing) categories.
- Proven ability to lead and participate in project teams.
- Strong strategic approach to spend categories or supply base.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
