Procurement Specialist

A leading consumer manufacturer is looking to hire a Procurement Specialist. This senior procurement professional will have created strategic initiatives, proposed cross functional synergies within the company and through MNAs, and elaborate strategy plans, budgets, long-term value initiatives. This company has seen tremendous growth and is now looking for the next person who can bring their knowledge to the group to help keep pushing forward.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Provide a strategic approach to the total cost of ownership of her/his categories
- Leverage incentives and suppliers with long term agreements and partnerships, considering risk management strategies and security of supply with terms, innovation, conditions, contingencies, and other remedies.
- Work closely with Commodity Managers to identify best practices for sourcing, negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship management, purchasing practices, and governance for Procurement.
- Conduct and document our supply base compliance to all relevant regulations and certifications
- Ensuring contract terms are aligned with our business requirements
The Procurement Specialist Should Have the Following Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement (creating strategies and processes)
- Expertise in negotiations and contracting
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong time management skills
This is a full time permanent position that will be primarily onsite in Dallas, TX
