Director of Quality - Packaging

Our client, a leading packaging solutions provider, is looking for the Quality department to be headed by a highly motivated Director of Quality. They are a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions, specializing in 100% recycled paper-based products. Committed to environmental responsibility, they collaborate with various industries to deliver innovative and eco-friendly packaging options. Operating state-of-the-art facilities across North America, the company ensures high-quality standards and efficient logistics.
The Director of Quality will manage the entire Quality department (QA, QC), including but not limited to manager, supervisors, technicians, engineers, associates, and validation engineers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our packaging products/services meet or exceed the highest industry standards for quality and reliability.
The Director of Quality will be responsible for:
- Manage a team of 15-20 direct reports, ranging from junior associates to green managers
- Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive quality assurance testing plans for packaging
- Analyze test results and work with product development teams to resolve issues and improve packaging quality
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish and maintain quality standards for external packaging components or services
- Drive maintenance of accurate batch review records & activities; including test results, inspections, and audits
- Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations
The Director of Quality has the following qualifications:
- B.S. with 10+ years of industry experience
- Experience working in highly regulated packaging or related industries (required)
- Direct people management/leadership experience
