Our client, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will oversee capital projects, maintenance projects, and reliability improvement initiatives. The Electrical Project Engineer will provide technical assistance to operational departments to achieve the mill's goals while driving continuous process improvement. From project inception to completion, you'll manage all phases, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, quality assurance, cost, and budget objectives.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Engineer:
- Develop projects from conception to completion through the Company's Project Delivery Process.
- Create scopes of work and estimate project costs with precision.
- Perform technical analyses, prepare funding documents, and manage layouts, designs, and drawings.
- Coordinate external consultants and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and project requirements.
- Control project costs and promote compliance with safety standards.
- Provide technical support on electrical and instrumentation matters.
- Support and promote best practices within the organization.
Qualifications of the Electrical Project Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in an electrical engineering role in heavy industrial or process industries (paper industry experience preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and process-analysis skills.
- Proven leadership and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
