Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist

This organization is a leading global manufacturer of components for aero engines. Our Casting division excels in providing complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine sectors. Additionally, we are a premier supplier of vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys, serving the aerospace, gas turbine, medical, and other high-tech industrial markets.
My client is currently looking for an Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist to join our Casting & Alloy Facility located in New Jersey. This position is a key member of the location's EHS team and is highly visible in the plant and Business Unit. The position provides an excellent platform for potential future growth.
Key Responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead and support fatality prevention efforts, including deploying key elements and coaching leaders.
- Analyze injury and incident data to assist in implementing targeted injury reduction strategies.
- Manage the industrial hygiene program, including IH sampling, database administration, hazardous material management, ergonomics, and radiation protection.
- Provide technical expertise in injury/incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
- Coach departmental leaders on EHS responsibilities.
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve EHS objectives.
- Lead and support various EHS responsibilities.
- Serve as the technical expert for safety and health programs, including lock-out tag-out, machine guarding, mobile equipment, fall control, and confined spaces.

Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of health or safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- This position involves access to export-controlled items, and employment offers are contingent upon the applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, or health discipline from an accredited institution.
Salary:
- $80,000-$90,000
