Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with Production Planner responsibilities to lead a high-performing team of 6 engineers. The role will require both technical expertise in manufacturing processes as well as strong organizational skills for production planning and coordination. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective production.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Planning and Optimization
- Manufacturing Engineer: Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize material flow. Develop new methods to streamline production processes and maximize machine utilization.
- Production Planner: Plan and allocate production resources effectively (machines, labor, and materials) to ensure a smooth manufacturing process. Develop detailed schedules and manage material availability to meet production timelines.
Work Preparation and Resource Management
- Manufacturing Engineer: Ensure the manufacturing environment is optimized, selecting the right machines and technologies for production needs. Lead the implementation of process improvements and train production staff to enhance efficiency.
- Production Planner: Align production schedules with order requirements and available resources. Plan and forecast material needs, ensuring that inventory is sufficient for scheduled production runs.
Production Coordination
- Manufacturing Engineer: Monitor production lines for efficiency and effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to machines and processes. Identify and resolve technical issues quickly to prevent production delays.
- Production Planner: Coordinate the entire production process, ensuring that products are manufactured in the correct order and at the right time. Work closely with materials management and logistics to keep production running smoothly.
Quality Assurance
- Manufacturing Engineer: Develop and implement quality control standards, ensuring that all production meets established quality guidelines. Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues as they arise during manufacturing.
- Production Planner: Ensure production plans are aligned with quality requirements, and that all resources and processes are in place to meet those standards. Guarantee that production goals are met while maintaining the highest quality.
