Job Description:
The Operations Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness of maintenance and manufacturing operations within the plant. The Operations Shift Supervisor must guarantee that all employees are adequately trained and qualified to perform their duties. They are also tasked with providing the necessary equipment, materials, and guidance to achieve maintenance and production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce all work rules and policies set by the Plant.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), as applicable to production
- Prioritize safety by following all safety protocols and ensuring team compliance.
- Assign tasks to operators and mechanics based on their qualifications and training.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and submit work requests for maintenance.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers to drive improvements in production, quality, and yields.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical or pharmaceutical -preferred)
- 2+ years as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (EPA, OSHA, FDA)
- Understanding of cGMP's
- Knowledge of Plant maintenance systems and practices
