Join our dynamic team as the Manager of Process Engineering, EPDM, where you'll lead and inspire a talented group of engineers. Your mission will be to design, develop, and implement innovative processes that support both new and legacy product innovations, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. This senior leadership role demands exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, along with extensive knowledge and experience to tackle complex challenges. While primarily based in Prescott, AR, occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide the Process Engineering Team by setting goals, organizing the team, developing budgets, and ensuring timely project execution to meet business objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other manufacturing leaders to create strategic and tactical plans that enhance safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Management: Oversee the execution of projects for new or modified products, ensuring adherence to the New Product Process and meeting launch dates.
- Process Control: Develop robust Process Control Plans and ensure formulation control to meet business needs effectively.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards and manage changes through PHAs, HAZOPs, or similar methods.
- New Product Development: Support the production of new and modified products, ensuring they meet design, safety, and quality requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Value Stream Support: Collaborate with the EPDM business function to resolve issues and facilitate business initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Investigate critical quality issues and customer complaints, working closely with the Quality Department on corrective actions.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred degrees: Chemistry, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering).
- Seven or more years of leadership experience in engineering or plant manufacturing within related industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Statistical Process Control, DOE, TPM, PFMEA, and Lean/Six-Sigma methodologies.
- Proven ability to coach, teach, and develop a team of engineers.
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC), PHAs, and HAZOPs.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, including OSHA and EPA compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support business meetings or consult with other facilities.
Working Conditions:
- Work in both manufacturing office environments and dusty, non-airconditioned industrial areas. Temperatures can vary with the seasons, and some outdoor work in hot or adverse weather may be required.
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, railcar platforms, lift and carry hoses, kneel, bend, reach, and stoop. Periods of prolonged sitting and data analysis work may be required.
