This position collaborates closely with the organization's supply chain team to execute the commercial demand strategy with suppliers. The role involves identifying and onboarding new suppliers while ensuring timely deliveries and negotiating future collaboration opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supplier management, procurement, and contract negotiations.
Procurement Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee relationships with existing suppliers, including co-packers, to ensure timely delivery to distribution centers
- Manage a procurement budget of their own
- Review and renegotiate current supplier agreements while establishing contracts with approved vendors
- Negotiate pricing, order volumes, and service expectations with suppliers
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to integrate supplier requirements
- Work alongside departments such as sales and finance to assess budget implications arising from supplier changes
- Collaborate with Engineering and R&D teams to launch new products through supplier partnerships
- Travel occasionally to visit both current and prospective suppliers (less than 10%)
Procurement Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, supply management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or vendor management
- Proficiency in supplier management and procurement processes
- Experience with KPI-driven goal setting and process optimization
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications
