Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Unit Manager to organize production departments, set operational objectives, and manage budgetary requirements related to emulsion polymerization processes.
- Supervise the functionality and performance of emulsion polymerization plants, driving continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with Technology/Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams.Foster operator training and motivation
- Emplement and maintain Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems, adhering to regulatory standards and internal procedures specific to emulsion polymerization processes.
- Responsible to hire, train, evaluate, assess, reward, discipline, and terminate assigned employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations to insure maximum competency and operational efficiencies.
- Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemisty, or related field
- Prior exposure to safety protocols and risk management practices specific to polymerization processes will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and a history of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
