In this role, you will work closely with the Plant Manager to lead daily operations and coordinate between the plant and various business functions. Your goal is to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and safe manufacturing that meets product quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plant operations including receiving, production, packaging, quality, maintenance, and distribution.
- Oversee production scheduling to meet customer orders on time while maintaining cost and quality standards.
- Analyze operations and metrics to drive efficiency and control expenses like labor and overhead.
- Apply continuous improvement techniques to optimize processes and address issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and develop/maintain standard operating procedures.
- Manage and develop staff, fostering effective team performance and addressing disciplinary needs.
- Support other departments and resolve product quality or customer concerns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5-7 years of progressive food manufacturing experience.
- Strong understanding of regulatory laws, good manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record in managing cost, safety, quality, and service improvements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
