Position Summary: A frozen seafood manufacturer is constructing a new production facility in the Greater Indianapolis area, and seeking a Project Engineer to join the team. This role within the corporate engineering division involves overseeing projects related to facility, processing, or packaging, including equipment, automation, construction, new production lines, utilities, material handling, and safety. The Project Engineer will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Engineering teams, reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Role & Responsibilities
Acting as the engineering liaison on-site, the Project Engineer will collaborate closely with the corporate engineering team, general contractor, and subcontractors.
- Assisting in the installation process of all production equipment
- Offering technical guidance and support during the startup phase and ongoing operation of production systems
- Collaborating with maintenance and operations to troubleshoot issues and optimize production lines for efficiency
- Identifying new opportunities for process enhancements
- Overseeing the execution and management of capital projects
Qualifications
- B.S Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a food processing facility or CPG manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, varied assignments simultaneously
