Project Engineer (m/f/d)
A leading global company in the food production industry is looking for a Project Engineer to join its engineering team in Augsburg. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of utility systems for a business committed to high-quality products and innovation in the food sector with responsibility across multiple plants in Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage utility supply systems, ensuring operational efficiency
- Develop project schedules and track deadlines to meet business objectives
- Assess requirements and optimise feasibility, costs, and sustainability aspects of both new and existing facilities
- Conduct technical analyses, simulations, and assessments of building conditions
- Lead preliminary planning, budgeting, contract negotiations, and coordination of external suppliers
- Participate in project meetings and facilitate construction discussions
- Prepare technical reports, cost-effectiveness analyses, and implement claim management strategies
Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in HVAC, utility supply, plumbing, steam, and compressed air systems
- Proven track record in project planning and execution, ideally within the food industry
- Exposure to international projects and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and risk management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel internationally
